Could anyone out there give me some advice on how to care for the eggs and
eventually the fry. I have already followed the procedure in "Aust Native
Fishes for
Aqauariums by Merrick and Leggett" (By the way did people know that this book
is available on CD ROM, I have the CD and it is easy to use).
Any suggestions on how to care and feed the fry would be greatly appreciated.
I was looking through my copy of Aust. Geographic no. 42, 1996 and there is
a great
article on Australian Desert fishes (including the Desert Goby) on page 104.
On page 112 there is a picture of Peter Unmack with a net full of Desert Gobies.
Peter, I believe that we have a mutual acquaintance (actually I was going to
meet him
in Victoria to catch some gobies, but at the last minute he was unable to
come, so
I have not meet him but we have talked on the phone and emailed), his name is
Luke ? and he is an engineering student at La Trobe Uni. We were going to
meet at
the western contour drain and catch some pale mangrove gobies, but he could not
come and I ended up catching some Tamar river gobies there.
Cheers, Richard.
