of the Aquatic Conservation Network. I have been involved with hobbyist
from early grade school, but became involved in organizations (Amer.
Killifish Assn., Amer. Cichlid Assn., North Amer. Native Fish Assn., and
Rainbow Fish Study Group) in the mid-1980's. It was only in early 1990,
that persons like Roger Langton inspired me to do something important with
the hobby instead of just raising fish.

From that point, I began investigating some of the programs to
conserve and maintain endangered species and their habitats. I pay my bills
as a lawyer, doing mostly tax and corporate work. I think the ACN Board
might have felt I would be useful in this regard. I was introduced to Rob
Huntley in 1991 and have been interested in the development of the ACN ever
since.

I am particularly interested in the prospect of the hobbyist
community working with the scientific community in sharing information and
ideas for the maintenance and conservation of freshwater fishes.
