I have created a series of GIS datasets that can be used to reconstruct former coastlines and drainage patterns based on low sea levels. These can be used to examine the role that continental shelf characterists have played in influencing biogeographic patterns. A paper describing these datasets and some hypotheses that can be tested using them is currently in preparation.
Minus 135 meter bathymetric contour in arc/info export format and shapefile format.
Low sea level drainages for the eastern USA in arc/info export format and shapefile format.
These are both projected in decimal degrees:
More datasets will be available soon!
These datasets were created with support from the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center
