I know Mach knows who has the Kiunga but for the rest of you I did
not mean to imply that Roy has this fish. He does NOT!

However the Rooster did say that he'd been getting the fish he did
have, out to the people "out there" but now he says I'm asking "them"
through my wish list, for stuff that only HE has! ;-)

So Roy boy are these fish "out there" or not?! I was hoping to get
people
a little more involved here by actively trading. Besides you and I there
are only 4 or 5 other people who even offer fish or eggs for trade etc.

There are 100= people in ANGFA NA and 300+ in the RSG. So the people
that are trading and selling represents about 2.5% of the membership.
Can't we do better than that? I think we'll have to, if we want any
significant
portion of the species we currently have to be around in two or three
years.

That being the case it is vitally important that the folks who are doing
the breeding and trading etc
get the new species into their hands. I think it would be of great
benefit to
ANGFA NA and the RSG to subsidize these people. Afterall you can't
expect
everyone to be like Roy and trip off to OZ every year. And Roy has to
pay for all that out of his pocket. And no one can afford to buy ALL the
things
that are available. But no one besides this small circle is breeding and
distributing the
fish. Perhaps ANGFA and the RSG could mass purchase the fish and
put them in the breeders hands who in turn could produce and distribute
the fish at a lower price to the rest of the membership.

This started out as a tongue in cheek shot at Roy but I kind of like the
idea now!!

So Roy and Gary before you "knee jerk" to this idea give it some
thought.
It would be a nice reward for the folks who have been working hard to
keep the species going. No doubt I would benefit from this idea but
tell me what you think.

G.maculosus is a great example. Who do you know that has this fish?
How well has it been distributed? NOT At ALL! Why?
