Depends on what you mean in your area. I am only a rocks throw accross the
pond we call the Pacific Ocean. The Net makes it possible for everyone to
be close. Anyway, They Congos and corys could be compatible, but typically
the Congos and Corys seem to like softer acid water and no salt. Most
adult bows seem to be adaptable and a few seem to need more acid water (I
can't remember which Trifaciata populations, but a few as I recall came
from soft acid water). I will go the other way and suggest that many
people in the Valley that I live in (Manoa home of the Rainbows) have water
about 7.5-7.8 120-160 ppm and they are raising both bows and the
aformentioned Congos and Corys. The trifasciatas seemed to be doing well
in a 125 gallon tank with some huge hifinned sharks and Congo tetras. Most
of the congos seem to be very domesticated and adapt well to all but the
extreams of water, same goes for the bows as adults (as the fry seem to
need Calcium)...
