Hello Paul
I think your tanks are a little small unless you're planning on
raising Pseudomugil or some of the dwarf species. I'd think you'd want
to double the tank size for most of the Melanotaenia. I use mainly 20
gallons tanks (24x16x12 inches if I recall correctly)for spawning, and
consider that the smallest you should use for most bows. But for
blue-eyes you're probably right on the mark.
I do find the 10 gallon tanks great for starting out fry in. So
depending on what type of bows you plan to keep. You may have your fry
tanks already and just need to acquire some spawning tanks.
