Andrew remember that Poppondettas are just fancy Blue-eyes and most of them
have to be considered as "annuals" and given lots of live food if you want
to maintain them as a population. I used to find that you needed to keep at
least 15 - 20 in a school to get enough eggs to make it worthwhile and they
would stop spawning if the temp got much over 25C. They also seemed to like
neutral to slightly alkaline water, good water movement and regular water
changes.
