As a Victorian herp, I know that I must apply for an import/export
permit if I wish to move reptiles into/out of Vic. This situation
normally involves a transfer of ownership, ie I am buying or selling.
A permit application involves nominating the licence no's of self and
other party, the number of individuals and species concerned, the
method of transfer, and a nominated 28 day transfer window. The
reptiles must travel with copies of both the import and export
permits. The species must be covered by the victorian parties
licence terms, of course. No doubt you are aware that you cannot take
reptiles from the wild in any Australian state.
If I were you I would leave the reptiles home, and transfer the fish
"quietly".
I do not know of a fish police web page.
