Only if they didn't realize that it is not a torrential river. It is
reasonable where it goes through the gorge. By the time it hits the city
it is about as tranquil as you can get. :-)

Bio types are an imaginary utopian thing that aquarists fool themselves
over and waste their time tying to achieve. :-)

Agreed. :-) Politics has dominated the South Australian fishkeeping
hobby (in all clubs) for many years, long before any native fish group
existed.

I agree regarding the weirs. In terms of fish introductions you also have
the problem of bait transfers and contaminents from hatchery releases.
It is worrying though given that rainbows ARE being translocated. One
of these days ANGFA will wake up and realize there is a problem (actual
or potential) and at least put together a position statement recognizing
the problem and demonstrating that they are educating their members as
to how to prevent it. :-) I certainly haven't been able to wake them up
with my efforts. :-)
