Hi Dennis,
I live in Gympie, so I'm pretty much nestled in the middle of
the area you're asking about :) I know of a lot of little collecting spots
around my area and out to Tin Can Bay/ Rainbow Beach areas :) I've prolly
forgotten more collecting sites than I can remember. If you're coming up
this way soon, email me off list, as I have another week and a half off
work. I broke my wrist 6 weeks ago and am still recovering :)
There was a survey reported in ANGFA Qld. newsletter a few
years back of all the little creeks on the way down to Rainbow I think it
was. It's about the only one I can't find :( I have most of my gear packed
for my move to Canada in about 4 months. I do have a map of this area and
could show you or take you to a few spots if you wanted :)
