The dominant fish in this tank changes from hour to hour, there are the
morning fish (the male boesmani and the lucustrus) and the evening fish
(mostly the tri's). However one of the most persistant.y aggressive fish
is the female boesmani. She chases the larger coen around the tank
flareing her fins in the way that males do when fighting. She has at some
stages beaten him into a corner and kept him there. The coen is probably
the overall dominant fish with the boesmani the only real challenger, so
it came as a great surpise to see this happen. I have watched it now on a
number of occasions.
Has anybody else had experiences with aggresive females? Or is it just me
who had a female betta kill the male?
Looking forward to some comments on this
