Your problem could be overcrowding but then again if it only happens when
you purchase from a particular shop then you have a couple of choices.
1. Don't shop there anymore
2. Purchase a quarantine tank.
If you purchase a quarantine tank then keep it purely for that purpose. I
always advocate the quarantining of any new fish purchased.
