I think that we can safely say that it isn't a japanensis. The fish was
difficult to locate in the first place and it's real difficult to get to Yapen
island to boot. Most likely one of the many crosses that have made the rounds.
Too bad we can't get a larger following of rainbow keepers in the UK so that
you would have a larger selection of quality fish to choose from. I saw
someone talking about one of the man-made crosses that made it to your shores
recently, the Marcii or maybe it was his other girlfriend. It would still be
worthwhile to join the BRAGGS to try and obtain the real thing from known
sources.
