This book is Professor Kenny's account on the distribution and ecology of
Trinidad freshwater fish, including distributional maps, his view on the
historical basis for the distributional patterns, species accounts, his
photographs of 36 of the 48 freshwater species, and an account of attempts
to fish farm in Trinidad. Contains many anecdotes about people who have
worked on fish in Trinidad, their collection sites, and study areas.
Professor Kenny was Professor and Head of the Department of Zoology at the
University of the West Indies in Trinidad, and conveys a lifetime of
observations and thoughts on the fish of the island. A valuable reference
for anyone interested in neotropical and/or Trinidadian fish.
