In NY we have a statewide aquatic education program that focuses on fish an
fishing as an entry point for developing environmental stewardship,
conservation service and leadership, resource advocacy and ethical angling
practice. Using a community-based, mentor-apprentice program model the NY
Sportfishing and Aquatic Resources Education Program SAREP trains and
supports volunteers in working with youth, mostly in non-forml education
settings.
In the US almost every state has a program focusing on aquatic
education, mostly based out of state natural resource agencies. For a list
